My major is Elementary Education with a Special Education endorsement. I would like to continue on to grad school with a MA in Early Childhood.
Ways to integrate music into the classroom is something that I would like to gain from this course :)
My personal experience with music is that I've played piano for seven years, & I am nowhere near as good as I should be ;)
I am passionate about helping others, traveling, learning, coffee, and animals :)
Speaking of animals, I have a yorkie named Khloe Chanel. This picture is not edited and it makes me crack up every time I look at it. She brings me so much joy :)

ReplyDeleteI am also an elementary education major and thinking about perusing special education sometime down the road. My boyfriend has a special needs brother and he means so much to me and is what is inspiring me to study it. Something else we have in common is that I as well want to gain ways to integrate music into the classroom. I think that is very important for kids.

ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see that you already have a music skill that you can incorporate into your classroom. I have always wanted to play and instrument but never had the opportunity until college. My second year at UC i was able to take a piano class and I loved it. I would like to further pursue piano that way i can also use it in my curriculum.
I am also passionate about animals as I have 14! I feel that students learn from a variety of things. The first class I observed in last semester was a 5th grade class and I use my reptiles as visual aids for the students. The students and teacher loved them and they helped them learn. I believe that this class will help us bring our skills, like piano playing, to the classroom.
